The importance of detail in costumes for the performing arts

Every year, the challenge of finding the perfect costume for each act begins, keeping in mind that every inch of fabric is essential when portraying a character. A challenge for fabrics, since many of the artists risk their lives in each show.

Each Circlassica act has specific requirements that allow the artist to perform their magic without the show being complicated, uncomfortable, or dangerous.

Denim, silks, glitter, or suede, in some cases, allow for flexibility to meet the highest demands of acrobats or jugglers.

In the case of clowns, however, who often have to portray a charismatic, yet warm, tender, yet funny character, we are faced with having to adapt differently.

That’s when we discover that large shoes or a certain color make a specific way of walking give us a type of movement that ends up defining that character. In other words, we intervene in the laughter of the people who come to enjoy the show.
